Sunday School – Our Small Groups

“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” – Acts 2:42. This verse states some core principles of  life for every New Testament church. Those principles may be summarized with three words: teaching, worshipping, and caring.

These principles are priorities of the Rodgers Baptist Church, and they are foundational elements of our Sunday school ministry. Our church is formed around the Word of God and the worship of God, because of this the love of God compels us to reach outward as well as upward. Our Sunday school ministry is the primary place where we turn to one another in care and compassion.

Life in the New Testament church is about more than attending a service together once a week. We need to live in close enough community to suffer with those who suffer and rejoice with those who rejoice, and we need to know one another well enough to hold each other accountable for spiritual progress. That  is what our Sunday school ministry strives to accomplish.

The Rodgers Baptist Church is a place where you can belong, and our Sunday school ministry is the best way to promote the life and growth of this local church. In this place a diverse group of Christians use their spiritual gifts to study the scriptures, pray for God’s work both locally and  globally, and care for one another both spiritually and materially. There is a place here for you to belong!
