Proverbs 11:6, “The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.”

Proverbs 12:13, “The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.”

There are blessings for those who, by God’s grace and power, walk the path of life and wisdom, which is the path of righteousness. They experience God’s direction, and they also experience God’s deliverance. This does not suggest that Godly people are exempt from suffering and trials. Just the opposite is true. The good news, however, is that the Lord promises to refine His own through those trials, to make those experiences turn out for the believer’s good and for God’s glory. Psalm 34:17says, “The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”

Obedience to the Lord will keep us from many troubles that sinners experience, but when the Lord permits us to suffer He promises to bring us through – “the just shall come out of trouble.”
