Proverbs 8:33, “Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.”
There is no shortage in the number of voices that clamor for our hearts by way of our ears. We are incessantly bombarded with messages that compete for our attention and call for our action. The way of wisdom is by discerning what is true and what is false. Then behave accordingly. Wisdom calls for a sincere life-changing decision that involves turning from sin (repentance) and turning to Christ (faith). Trusting Christ like this is the way of wisdom, and will result in a commitment to the Lord that leads to meeting with Him daily. Those who refuse wisdom – and there is no neutrality – not only do damage to others, but to their own souls. Who has your ear?
