Wait on the Lord

Psalm 27:13-14, “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

Waiting is one of the greatest tests of faithfulness.   We often want God to answer immediately, yet He frequently works through seasons of waiting to deepen our trust in Him. David found hope because he believed God’s goodness would be revealed in His perfect time. 

Jesus trusted the Father’s timing throughout His earthly ministry. He never rushed ahead or lagged behind in God’s plan. As we wait on the Lord, we can rest knowing His timing is always best. 

Act today: Instead of rushing ahead, commit one unanswered prayer to the Lord and trust His perfect timing.
