Creation’s Unending Broadcast

Psalm 19:1-6, “To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.”

Dawn’s first colors preach a sermon older than language. Every sunrise pulls back the curtain on an ever-renewed gallery where light, cloud, and cosmic precision collaborate to shout, “Glory!” David notes that this proclamation needs no translator, “Day unto day [pours out] speech.” A child who cannot yet read and an astronomer with a Ph.D. receive the same invitational billboard. Look up and know there is majesty, order, and rhythmic faithfulness behind the spinning spheres. No human achievement sustains the sun’s sure circuit, only the Creator’s joy fuels that fire. When worries feel cosmic, remember the cosmos itself is God’s daily reminder that He is larger, wiser, and nearer than fear. The sky’s pageant also levels pride. If planets perform their appointed course gladly, how can we refuse to be likewise obedient?

Act today: Step outside at either sunrise or sunset today. Spend five unhurried minutes naming aloud specific beauties you see, then thank God for each as a personal gift from His hand.
