Well Done

Matthew 25:21, “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”

Every believer longs to hear these words from the Lord. In the parable of the talents, the servant was commended not because he was the most gifted, but because he was faithful with what had been entrusted to him. God does not measure success the way the world does. He delights in steadfast obedience.

Jesus is the perfectly faithful Servant who accomplished the Father’s will without fail. Because of Him, we are saved by grace and empowered to live faithfully until He calls us home.

As this month comes to a close, remember that God has not asked you to be famous, impressive, or successful by the world’s standards. He has simply called you to be faithful.

Act today: Reflect on one area where God has helped you grow in faithfulness this month, and thank Him for His grace to continue following Christ.
