Proverbs 30:5, “Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.”

Not just some of God’s Word. Not simply most of God’s Word. Not even the majority of God’s Word is pure. Instead, every word of God is pure. That means all of scripture is true, flawless, tested, tried, and trustworthy. The overall message, as well as every detail, of God’s Word is the only reliable resource for life when the sun is shining, and especially when the sky is dark, the winds are howling, and the rains won’t stop. Only those who put their trust in Him, not as they perceive Him to be but as He has revealed Himself in His Word, will be shielded in life, from life, and for all eternity.
