Stay Off the Dark Path

Proverbs 4:14-19, “Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.”

Sin rarely announces itself as destruction. Sin presents itself as convenience, then curiosity, then captivity. Wickedness feeds itself. But God’s way begins dim and grows radiant as obedience compounds. Jesus left His Father’s glory to rescue those trapped in darkness. He bore our sin so we could walk in light. The Spirit now illuminates every compromise before it entangles us. Choose the dawn path. Refuse the first step into shadows. Light does not argue with darkness, it simply arrives, and darkness must flee.

Act today: Name one area of compromise you have tolerated. Repent, remove the trigger if possible, and step into a Christ-centered alternative right now.
