Forgive One Another

Ephesians 4:32, “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Forgiveness costs. Forgiveness also absorbs debt rather than demanding repayment, but we forgive from overflow, not deficit. Christ has cancelled our record of debt, nailing it to the cross. Grudges chain us to resentment, yet mercy frees both parties. Kindness and tenderheartedness grow in the soil of remembered grace. Refusal to forgive whispers that Christ’s cross was insufficient.

Act today: Name the offense you still rehearse. In prayer, release the debt to God, then seek reconciliation where possible. Repent of your own hard-heartedness and move forward in faith.
