Proverbs 2:8-9, “He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.”

The entire testimony of Scripture, both in the New and the Old Testaments, regularly speaks of the believer’s walk. Here is a small selection from the New Testament: Romans 6:4; 8:1; 2 Corinthians 5:7; Galatians 5:16; Ephesians 2:10; 4:1; 5:2, 15; 1 John 1:7; 2:6).Today’s proverb is just one example from the Old Testament. There are many from which to choose, here is another small sampler, this time only from Proverbs (3:5-6; 4:18; 8:20; 10:9; 11:5 12:28).

There are blessings for those who, by God’s grace and power, walk the path of life and wisdom, which is the path of righteousness. For starters, such walkers experience God’s direction. If you are born again, then you have trust God for the salvation of your soul. Surely you can trust Him for the direction of your life. God gives wisdom, and with it the blessed task of making wise decisions. The Lord directs the paths of those who trust and obey because He wants His children to know His will and enjoy doing it!
