Faithful in Forgiveness

Colossians 3:13, “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”

Forgiveness is one of the clearest demonstrations of Christ’s work in our lives. Holding on to bitterness keeps old wounds alive, but extending forgiveness reflects the mercy we have received from God. It is not always easy, but it is always right.

Jesus forgave those who came to Him in faith, regardless of their past. Because He has forgiven us so completely, we are called to extend that same grace to others. Faithfulness to Christ is often revealed in our willingness to forgive.

Act today: Ask God to help you forgive someone who has wronged you, remembering how much Christ has forgiven you.
