Proverbs 7:1-3, “My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.”

Keep God’s Word, His commands, “as the apple of thine eye,” protect them like eyesight. Writing on tablets of the heart means rehearsing until reflexive. Truth becomes instinct. The best defense against seduction is not heroic willpower in the moment but well-stocked memory banks beforehand.
