Proverbs 7:22-23, “He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.”

Live with eternity in view if you want to have wisdom and understanding about your sin. Consider the examples of Moses (Hebrews 11:23-27) and Abraham (Hebrews 11:8-10).Both men made difficult decisions and followed the Lord while looking ahead, living with eternity in view. The same is true of Paul (Romans 8:18; 2 Corinthians 4:16-18).

The joke is often made about Christians who are so heavenly minded they are no earthly good. I have never known such a person; however, I know plenty of Christians who are so earthly minded they are of no heavenly good. That description has fit me from time to time. Wise up about sin by living with eternity in view.
