Guard Your Path

Proverbs 1:15-16, “My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.”

Solomon pictures peer pressure before that became a recognizable term, and long before social media. Evil often feels communal because sin loves a crowd. The invitation may look harmless. just a laugh, a click, a drink, but the path is already slanted downhill. Wisdom’s antidote is proactive distance: do not walk that way! Saying no at the start spares you the scramble back up later. Friendship is precious, yet companionship without conviction erodes character. One step sets direction. Repeated steps form habits. Habits shape destiny.

Act today:  Identify one environment or relationship that consistently pulls you toward compromise. Plan an exit strategy, a different route, a new playlist, an altered schedule, a redefined friendship, and tell one trusted believer so that you’re not alone and are both encouraged and held accountable.
