Beyond Measure

Proverbs 8:11, “For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.”

The market sets prices, but God sets value. Rubies, gold, and portfolios shift with seasons. Wisdom is the only currency that appreciates through every trial. Solomon does not speak of a classroom fact. He speaks of a disciplined skill believers must continually develop, and that is the ability to navigate reality according to God’s design. True wisdom finds its face in Jesus. Paul calls Him the wisdom of God (1 Cor. 1:30). In Him, we are provided a mind that sees past appearances, a will that chooses eternity, and a heart that delights in righteousness. No earthly wealth can buy peace of conscience. No status can secure a soul. Christ’s Spirit freely grants the wisdom we need for every decision. When you seek His face, you gain more than insight. You gain the very life that death cannot touch. Invest your time, your attention, and your prayers into knowing Him. The return is forever.

Act today: Write down one area where you have been chasing worldly approval. Replace that pursuit today by spending fifteen minutes in prayer and Scripture, asking the Spirit for wisdom.
