Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
Patience is not just a virtue but a fruit of the Spirit. This also means that impatience is a demonstration of the old, fallen nature. Our impatience makes us vulnerable to be used and manipulated by Satan to accomplish his fallen purposes. Think of the anger, hurtful words, anxiety, and loss of testimony that impatience consistently breeds in our lives. Far better is the sweetness of Jesus, released in our lives when we trust Him. Take a moment, then a deep breath, and decide to trust God enough to stop resisting life’s interruptions and welcome them as God’s unscheduled opportunities.
