Daniel 3:17-18, “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”
Risk it or run for it. Those were the only two choices Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had. All the people were commanded to worship Nebuchadnezzar’s image, or be thrown into a fiery furnace. These three young men would not bow. That was sheer, trust-filled risk. They did not know how it would go, but with fearless, faith-filled hearts, they trusted God with the outcome. Why? Because it is always right to risk it for the gospel. Expect great things from God, and attempt great things for God, all while trusting the Lord do what seems good to Him.
