Christ’s Universal Lordship
Romans 14:9, “For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living.”
The cross enthrones Jesus over the living and the dead. Salvation is not a private escape hatch but is the coronation of the Son over all people, particularly those who believe. Jesus bled, died, and rose to claim authority. Any hierarchy erected by man that is contrary to Christ is rebellion. Likewise, individuals cannot crown personal preferences or secondary convictions, such as dietary laws or worship styles when the crown already rests on Christ’s head. The believer’s allegiance to Christ eclipses lesser allegiances. Bow to the risen Lord and refuse to enthrone personal, secondary opinions.
